Lumina living care is a supported living service for adults, over 18 years of age who have learning disabilities and autism who may have mental health conditions or those who present with behaviours that may challenge. Our services are bespoke, person-centred care provided in Medway, Kent and surrounding area.
We recognise the difficulties and challenges our potential clients may face managing their activities of daily living, therefore we provide services that enable them have their own choice and control over their lives.
We support them to live in their own homes with their own tenancy while they achieve maximum independence and empowerment. They also have a choice to have close relationships with families and friends

Our focus is to promote and encourage meaningful independence, choice and control for the people we support.
Our teams are trained to passively diffuse situations and to alleviate the distress, frustration and fear that is often expressed as challenging behaviour.
We use valid and reliable measures of behaviour, pain, daily activities, eating , all with regular evaluation and feedback from our service users.
We work with positive behaviour support professionals and support mainstream services to deliver necessary therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music therapy and more

Lumina Living Care ‘Principles of Good Adult Care’ is based upon the key principles of privacy, dignity, self-fulfilment, independence, choice, safety and rights. This is integral to our working practices.
The care staff at Lumina Living Care will work towards positively developing individual qualities, which will give each Service User an opportunity for growth and development.
We believe positive behaviour changes are possible through bespoke support while we do not label anyone but treat them with value, respect and dignity.
We support our service users to live safely and securely in their own homes and ensure their environment is as clean and tidy as possible.
We support individuals to develop existing and new skills. This gives them the opportunity to get employed and have a more fulfilling life.
We aim to improve our service users independence and support them to live with others where possible without fear. We also support them to keep meaningful relationships with their loved ones.
